Ky & Bentley go to see the dog behaviorist tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to it but we have a lot going on here right now so it's pretty hectic.
Ky hasn't had a single reaction to anything since the other night but I'm keeping the appt if for nothing else, to get his opinion on her behavior.

Bentley is a happy camper since I increased his kibble amount.

Thursday Carol (the girl that saved Ky) will be stopping by to see her so that will be exciting.

I think it will be very interesting for you. I always tell adopters that seeing a qualified behaviourist with an adopted dog is kinda like going to see a counsellor for a person, you can do it when things go awry or you can go regularly to stay healthy and happy by learning more about yourself.

I don't think I've ever adopted out an Akita without requiring adopters to work with a qualified professional. I think it's amazing how well Ky's doing, especially with a Golden puppy in the house!

I just came back from holidays and started now to catch up with everyone in here. So I guess I missed something!

What happened with Ky?

And WOW Bentley is such a big boy! When did that happen? I was only away for 2 weeks

The original thread is on page 4 about Ky in attack..Bentley didn't. (or something close to this).

Believe today will be a great day and know that Carol will be so proud of Ky's progress. Hopefully the behaviorist will be able to give you not only insite to this but how to handle should you face something similar again. Let us know.
