Bentley is just a few days shy of 14 weeks old and has easily wormed his way into my heart! Life has certainly gotten a lot busier with him in it, but every day has been worth it! There's nothing quite like seeing him first thing in the morning and having his whole body wiggle in excitement or hearing his "happy grunts" as he lies on the floor to show his belly for some belly rubs!

I noticed today two missing teeth in his mouth! That definitely explains his super, extra mouthiness on Christmas Day! I think my fondest memory of him, thus far, is the day I first met him at 6 weeks old. The picture below is that day!

Makes my heart melt. That first picture of you and Bentley is so precious. He looks like a chubby fat boy giggling over something really funny. Now he looks like a little man dog in his beautiful coat. Beautiful pup and yes, you will wonder how in the world you have gone so long without a golden in your heart and may never have another breed. Great dogs with unconditional love.

Best thing is that they will laugh and smile all through their lives! Nothing brings great joy than this.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

Thanks, everyone! It is amazing just how quickly he is growing up! He has started losing his baby teeth and is starting to get his adult coat. It will be nice and wavy, same color as his puppy fur. My phone and iPad are filled with photos of him from the time he was born until today! I don't want to miss a moment of puppyhood!
