| Introducing my new Golden mix puppy Toby and his amazing rescue story! I have a new puppy but before I show you how cute and adorable he is I would like for you to see his amazing rescue video. After seeing the video, you will see that he is even more special than what photos can show! Toby (aka TobyMac) was rescued by Julie in Missouri who is a regular foster mom for PAWS New England Rescue. She had seen the mother running free about 5 months earlier and had not been able to catch her. Five months later, she was waiting for the transport truck to pick up her foster dogs going to New England for adoption and she saw the mother again, this time very thin and nursing. She set out a feeding station and on the 4th day, the dog approached her for petting. After eating some more food for a while, the mama led Julie to her den of 6 puppies in the woods under a huge pile of brambles and tree roots! Julie videoed the whole thing and it is a heart lifting, amazing, awesome video of the rescue mama and her babies. The video is very moving! Here is the video..I hope the link works! I am having hit or miss luck with getting it linked in this message. If it does not let you click on it, you may have to right click and choose "open in a new window": Mama and pups - "Rescued!" 11/8/12 at One True Media - share slideshows, slide shows, Facebook slideshows, free video sharing, video montages. Some of you have read my postings on the Rainbow Bridge page about my heart dog, Dawson, and I was not sure if I was ready for another dog. But, my email notification from adoptapet.com alerted me to these Golden mix puppies and I had a conviction that I should look into their availability. I especially wanted Toby as he looked so much like a Golden and in another video of the puppies interacting at about 8 weeks, he was a very calm puppy. Toby received a lot of applications in 2 days but I was the lucky one that took him home! God is good! I honestly felt Dawson’s presence during the whirlwind week of applying and receiving Toby off the transport truck a week later. Julie found these pups on 11/8/12, the day before Dawson passed over the Bridge. I think that is some kind of wonderful sign! Toby is the sweetest, calmest, puppy that I have ever owned. He has eased my never ending tears over my Bridge boy. And, as you can see from the pictures,he is really cute! He, nor his brothers and sisters, look at all like their mama who appears to be possibly a field line Springer Spaniel with maybe a little English Setter. They think the dad was a Golden/Chow mix but I don't see a chow in him except for maybe because of his curled tail. Maybe he has Akita in him? Others have said they see Border Collie and the vet thought Bernese maybe? Who knows? I just know that I love him to pieces already and he has brought joy to my life. My friends have not seen me this happy in a long time. Nancye A tribute to Dawson: http://www.goldenretrieverforum.com/...oy-dawson.html (My boy Dawson)

| Great video, what an amazing, heartwarming story. That dog is one very good momma to take such good care of her babies and protect them. I'm glad this lady was able to help them all. Toby is such an adorable little guy, he's just darling. Good to hear you're so happy, enjoy this little guy. Wishing you many happy, healthy years filled with lots of love and joy with Toby. |

| Mylissyk-you asked about the mom. Yes, she was adopted as well as all 6 puppies. All of them ended up in New England. Here is a picture of the mom in her new home. I think she looks like she has settled right in. She must have belonged to someone at some point in her life.

| What a wonderful story. I can't believe how much your Toby looks like my rescue Woody or at least how I would have imagined Woody to look like at that age. ![]() A74A2640.JPG by StillWaterGold, on Flickr The Mom definitely looks like she's got some Setter in her...what a courageous girl. I'm sure the two of you will have many happy years together...it definitely sounds like it was meant to be. Pete
