So Chester will be 6 months in a couple of days, and everything is going well. Potty training is going great he only had an accident when we werent home because I left him a bowl full of water. However, the biting seems to be going back to how it was. I read somewhere on here that between 5-7 months the biting gets tougher because of the adult teeth. He's destroying everything, he no longer gets soft toys because in a matter of seconds he destroys them. I don't leave his rope out because he pulls at the ends and takes out the string. The only toys he has are

His kong which I fill up with treats everyday I change up
2 antlers
His chuckit ball
And his wubba that he ripped through one of the stringy part I had to cut with scissors.

Please tell me he grows out of this soon! We were doing so well and it seems like overnight a little terror came along lol

EDIT: forgot to mention he doesn't have any more baby teeth. Just adult so thats why i wanted to know if chewing was normal at his age.

Oh dear ....Loki is 5.5 months & I'm not at all prepared for that. No suggestions, sorry ....will continue to read this thread to see what other members advise.

It's a phase, he'll grow out of it. His teeth may be sore, so you can try given him some frozen things; a toy, or towel that can soothe his gums.

Max went threw a difficult stage when he was teething. He even chewed some drywall. My hands and forearms were loaded with bite marks. One day it stopped. Drywall has been repaired and my skin has healed. Max ate a lot of ice cubes during the teething phase.

Bentley is going through this too. Also he waits until we get in the shower and steals our underwear. He doesn't destroy them but they're soaking wet when I take them away. i finally watched him one day and figured it out.
He was getting the undies really wet them bunching them up and putting them where his pre-molars are and biting down on them. I light bulb went off.

Now I roll a wash cloth up (so it looks like a long cigar) wet it and freeze it. This has worked wonders for us because the shape of it allows him to get it to the teeth that are bothering him. It has saved us. If only everything was that easy to fix

Our Barnaby was a terrible chewer, so bad that my hubby had to wear a glove sometimes and I was convinced he would chewed off his hand. Chester will grow out of it!. Also he still steals the underwear at every opportunity go Bentley your a legend!

Im glad when he was actually loosing the baby teeth he didn't do anything drastically like that lol. Was max still mouthy after he lost all his baby teeth?

hahah i couldn't help but laugh ! reminds me of the time he put the underwear over his head and came running out.

Thank you. I feel like it was just yesterday i brought him home. I knew it would go fast i just didn't know it would go this fast.He is growing so fast its insane. I hope he doesn't grow too much more but by the looks of it I think he will be on the bigger golden side.
