Blayze joins the puppy club!

I am thrilled to announce the newest member of my family, "Blayze", Promise's D'Best Aim For the Goal'd (he was from the goal litter)!

Blayze is a half brother to my 3 year old GR, Baxter. Their Mom is "Arpege", UCH Citrine's Promise Her Anything and Blayze's father is "Tonka", GCH UCH Eldorado's Promise D'Best H3X.
Blayze is such a rascal and loves to race around with the largest stuffed duck you have ever seen. I am so smitten with this wonderful Golden boy. I brought him home on Sunday but am only just posting because life with a small puppy leaves little time to much else. I promise I will post more in the future but in the mean time here are a few pictures of my new lovely golden boy.
I hope to share our future adventures as they come along. I have had him only 3 1/2 days but he already has found a special place in my heart. He spent the first two days at an obedience workshop with me and was a super star. He is a a special boy already in my heart.

Wow, this little pup sure has a mighty set of lungs for a little guy. He can make the most ear piercing shreaks when he does not get his way. At the moment his goal is to get the crate door to open and doesn't realize that silence is the key. Later today we will work on crate games but first we are going to investigate a fountain at the mall.
Yesterday he had his visit with my vet and he was awwed over by all the staff.
It has been 11 years since I had a pup so this is like a new adventure for me in some ways. I am reminded that puppies are all about timing, on my part, not theirs. Getting the pup to the potty spot on at the optimum time is the key. So far, I have been successful, though I can't say the puppy quite gets it.
I am so glad I took a few weeks off work to spend with the pup and get things started. I can see lots of fun times ahead, though listening to shreaking is certainly NOT one of them!
Aww success the shreaking stopped and the crate door opened so now the FUN begins! Gotta go!

I thought I had a plan for when I go back to work but I am finding it increasingly difficult to figure out the best way to manage the puppy schedule with my work schedule. I still have time, but I know my vacation will end way too soon. How on earth do Moms of human babies make that transition???
I know his bladder schedule will not fit at this point with me being at work, even with someone coming in to attend to him. Anytime he eats, sleeps or plays he needs to potty. Really need to think this through before the time comes for me to be gone. In the meantime, I am just in love with this cutie and his silly antics.
Now we have a fountain to go explore. Not to worry he is not going into the fountain. There are lots of sights to be seen in the area surronding it.
