Poor Loki has lost his little neck ruffle

My poor baby Loki had his little neck ruffle shaved off by the vet this morning, to treat his first Hotspot (see previous posting a few hours ago). No walks for him over the next few days, as vet does not want him wearing a collar or harness, due to the location of this Hotspot. Hopefully, after a few days of prednisone, AB's, medicated shampoo, & cream, it will heal up nicely. At least he is not scratching his neck, so the steroid injection must have worked. The vet was totally smitten by Loki ...said he had the true Golden temperament, & Loki was so well-behaved & smoochy with everyone, that I felt very proud of him.

Hot spots are truly evil! Max had his first (and hopefully last!) a couple of months ago. It took several weeks for his to heal completely, but he can't do the oral antibiotics so it was mostly topical treatment. Poor Loki!
