Bear met up with two of his littermates today and played for about an hour. He got along great with the short haired one (Murphey), but the smaller, fuzz ball in the green hankerchief (Ryder) was another story.
Murphey and Bear played for 45 mins before Ryder showed up, and they played ROUGH! I was a little worried, but they switched who was on top all the time. There were a couple of yelps, but they quickly recovered. Both Murphey and Bear did well when I called either of them over for check-ins. I did call Bear over to do a puppy push-up every so often when he got too boisterous and he did great responding to me despite the distraction.
Then Ryder showed up.

I think this boy has "small boy syndrome" because all he wanted to do was bark and harrass both Bear and Murphy. Bear put him in his place at least three times, but it never really stuck.
We, the owners, got a chance to talk about the simularities between the puppies. Like, we're leaning more towards them being mixed with a hound, considering Murphey howls, just like a blood hound.

.
Everyone has had some issues with resource guarding. Ryder was REALLY REALLY bad about it. He guarded everything! Almost full on attacked his owners over a chewed up, nasty beef bone. Everything was worth guarding to him; bones, sticks, toys, water bowl, ball, etc. I will NEVER complain about Bear ever ever again!!! Ok. I probably will, but when I do, please remind me how blessed we are with how awesome our puppy is. I cannot imagine having to deal with the type of aggression, Ryder is exhibiting
Ryder's owner feeds the same food we do, but he's significantly smaller than Bear.

They don't actively measure how much they feed Ryder, but it sounds almost the same as how much I feed Bear. I don't worry that Bear is overweight, because he's looking FIT and FINE! I can see his tuck and easily feel his ribs. Just weird to see such a difference.
Bear just turned 4 months old, a few days ago and he weighed in at 33 pounds yesterday at the vet. He's officially done with all of his puppy shots and we got him licensed, so now we get to go to dog beach and dog parks!
See pictures below!!

Hahaha! Nothing but Bear's Butt in all of them. lol!
