| 5 month old eating food too fast Charley, my 5 month old, has recently started to eat his food too fast. He eats so fast that he chokes and sometimes hack it up. Is there anything I can do to slow down his eating? I heard someone say the metal ball but wasn't sure. Thanks for your help. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| There are bowls that you can get at any pet store that are meant to slow down eating. Mine does the same thing. |

| For a cheap way, put the food down on a cookie sheet, the bigger the better. This forum gave us this idea and to be so simple, it worked so well! Coop would eat so fast he would choke, and sometimes throwup. Having to search all over the simple cookie sheet slowed him way down. We did this for a few months and then tried a bowl again and he ate much slower and no more problems. Think it gave him time to mentally grow up a bit and realize he didn't have to gobble up his food.
