Morning all!

So...we will be picking up our new golden girl from the breeder this coming Saturday! We are extremely excited for her arrival, and even more excited to introduce her to our 12 y/o golden, who we believe she will be excellent for in terms of keeping her young and energized.

I am, however curious about one thing: should we give puppy a quick bath once we get her home? I ask this because she will obviously be coming from the breeder's, and she's been around all other pups. I'm sure she's also accidentally rolled around in some urine or other matter; should we give her a precautionary bath while still so young? Is it safe?

It is safe. Our breeder gave all the puppies a bath right before she sent them home to us. So if your breeder doesn't, I would think that would be fine! Just make sure you get a gentle puppy shampoo.

Kasey had 2 baths the first night she was home. I gave her a bath when we got home then around 2am she had a accident and into the bath again. She didn't like it too much but it didn't harm her at all.

I gave Chester a bath the next day but it's fine to give them a bath the same day. Have fun with your new puppy =] and post pictures. Can't wait to see them
