A lot of people take them down and put them away, but mine still sleep in theirs. I'm trying to make some room in my bedroom--right now they're in the living room. We've had Tess's crate out (admittedly a small thing...) for her entire life. She adores it and would really rather sleep in there than in DD's bed! So sometimes we keep it closed.

Bentley spent his 2nd night sleeping out of the crate with no issues. We just came back from a walk (it's 31F) and he ran in the house and straight into his crate where he is now taking a well deserved nap.
If he wants to sleep out of the crate and only use it for naps I'm good with that. It's a little sad though, further proof that my little puppy is growing up

You may be surprised. We didn't teach Bentley to sleep on his bed. We have them all over the house and he chose the big one beside the fireplace as his, he just started laying on it on his own. Ky doesn't care because her bed is in the bedroom and in the living room she has her own love seat with ottoman
