| Ok so it's been 5 days since I've had this little bugger so I figured I'd give a quick update. For being almost 7 weeks old I'm amazed at how easy he is to care for. He transitioned to his new food easily and only had two loose stool. As for sleeping he takes approximately 4-5 naps a day and usually sleeps throughout the night from 11pm to 6-7am and has yet to pee or poop in his bed. The two main things that he struggles with right now are chewing and the first few minutes of being left alone in his crate. He loves chewing on anything he can get his mouth on but I always say no then move him to the center of the room where his toys are and give him a toy to play with. Also when I leave he will whine and bark nonstop for the first few minutes, but then it usually stops and he'll just go to sleep. All in all I am very please with his behavior and amazed he is behaving this way at such a young age. |

| Second update. Today I started clicker training starting with sit and I must say I'm quite impressed. He's already got sit figured out. On occasion he will get distracted but for the most part he will sit instantly. I'll continue to work with him tomorrow with sit and try to add in down and hopefully he'll have these down for the most part by next week. As for treats i'm using pet botanics mini training reward treats. Each treat is 1/2 calorie so they're not a large impact on his slow grow diet. |
