For some strange reason, none of the other 4 people in our Competitive Obedience Class showed up today. So Liberty and I had 2 instructors all to ourselves and we had our own private class. It was great. We got to concentrate on what WE specifically needed to work on. She REALLY helped me with the loose leash walking too. Liberty was being excellent today - it was me that kept messing up lol. It was GREAT to have our very own class. I feel like we really accomplished something today

That's fantastic, Libbie is a lovely girl.

It's really nice to get that one on one attention. And I find all the training sessions are really about training me! The dogs get it right away, it's me that needs practice.

lol! Glad someone else can relate. I get so darn nervous and anxious trying to remember all the things the trainer is telling me that I forget half of them. I think I'm finally starting to get it!

One more thing concerning classes...
and a question kind of.
The class we just finished had approx. 15 pups in it.

Here's what I found somewhat irritating...

A couple people brought their children with them, which is all well and good, no complaints there, BUT a couple people brought 4 children with them, and when we are doing recall, they EACH get to take the time, and call the dog.....
And the same with sit, stay, and wait.........grrrr.....

it's time consuming, and to me, doesn't seem a whole lot fair.
Maye if they could limit it down to one child a week?

Does anyone else find this.........irritating?

our class asked for one child only--worked ok--Lucy ended up in an older age group(no puppys) that was only just ok---one on one would be so nice!!
