| I gave her some rice this morning and she ate like she was starving. Now I have a new issue , she has been so wild this morning , peed in the house twice but I have been getting her to drink a lot. Also I have been training her to ring the bell when she needs to go out and this morning she rang it so I took her out and she just ran around when I had to Bring her in I picked her up and she snarled and growled at me. I said a firm no and she did it again. I have been leaving my back door ajar so she can sit out on the deck , she was able to go freely outside with the breeder so I think she is missing that , anyway I put a blanket out for her as there is frost on the deck and she went out and peed on it , hmmmm today is a trying day. She just came up to me and licked my arm and laid down like she is saying sorry lol. I also tried her on a leash walking her around the house but didn't go to well. Collar is too big so that didn't work. Why is the puppy years so much work Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| So I had to stop by the vets and decided to ask if they checked the sample for giardia and they didn't , sigh. Now I have to get a new sample and try again. She is still battling a bit if diahrra but is acting normal. We have done rice and chicken for a couple days and she eats it like crazy. She only had one poop yesterday it was firm but ended with diahrrea and she squeezed out a bit more a few times after. I am not sure what to do , I am giving if until Monday then making a vet appointment. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| Took her to the vet yesterday and no parasites. A bit of a tummy bug possibly and she on meds and seems to be feeling better. Slept from 9-5 last night. She hasn't pooped in over 24 hours though so that concerns me but I'm sure she will when she's ready. She still is full of puppy craziness and seems fine. The vet did say keep her on rice and chicken still until we get a few good poops. Spoiled little puppy I will for sure be changing her food just have to sort out which one , one that's going to be easy on her poor tummy. |

| I know how it is, I had the same trouble with Abby - all the stool checks and nothing. She finally got normal - I suspect the trip from Maine to Ohio and then Michigan when I bought her made her tummy upset. Took her a while to acclimate to the new place and I had to change her food too. Still a vacuum though, yesterday she saw a knot in the hardwood floor and was trying to bite it! Little brat! |

She will lick and lick and then the scratching begins. The fun of puppyhood. So happy right now , she is sleeping , gives me a second to sit and have a look on here |

| I heard tales that banana will help firm up stools. When Bear gets a bit of runny poop (like he did when we introduced natural Balance as treats) a frozen banana kept him occupied and the runs went away the next day. I'm not sure if that will help your guy, but it's worth a try.

| Well we finished Carly's meds and now back to watery poop and mucus sigh. Called the vet this morning and waiting for a call back. Things were so good for a week. She still has rice and chicken and small bit of kibble. I took your suggestions and bought blue wilderness. Things were going great , good poops. Vet just called putting her back on meds sigh and work on full kibble to see if it continues might be a dietary issue hope not Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| I think you're on the right track Nazzers - I know my Hiro will only eat Natural Balance, so fingers crossed your baby is just a picky one as well! You're doing everything right, I promise. I almost wonder if you should ask for an x-ray just to make sure there's no blockages or anything inside her little tummy. Maybe that's something to keep in mind if the diarhhea comes back again after this round of meds?

| The blood was probably something she ate that irritated or maybe scratched her colon because she wouldn't digest it. It is likely a phase if she has her vaccines and de wormer. Puppies get into all kinds of things.
