Because I am a klutz I taught my dogs the same, but I say "Move, move, move". This means I am comming through and move out of my way. I didn't use a clicker, but each dog is treated when they moved out of the way. This was a necesity since in my household I have yorkies and goldens since the small ones I could hurt steppping on, the large ones could trip me.
Also taught all that when we eat they must go to their mats until we are finished. They get something to chew on and we get some peace not only to eat but to bring our food to the table in safety.

Deb & My Golden Kids
Kye & Coop - the loves of my life
My little Biewer Yorkies - all 7 of them!
Sadie & Okey - my mini aussies

I want to surround myself with people who are "Cracked" for they are the ones that let the Sun Shine in.

Also, how old is he?

Funny, for 13 years I tried to teach our previous Golden, that when I or anyone else was in the kitchen, his "spot" was not in the kitchen. As you would probably guess, due to the high value of food rewards in such a place, I never was able to accomplish that. LOL
