| Could there be any new noises that you can't hear that she can? My one golden is very sensitive to high pitched machine noises.....one of my vets exam rooms has a refrigerator that sounds different fom the others and we cannot go in there. Any new smells cleaning products, paint fumes, new toys? Hope you find out Beth moose and angel |

| My biggest fear is not getting an answer to what is wrong. I certainly can't find a painful area. I am taking in a fecal sample to check for worms...crossing my fingers for worms. Easy to take care of. I will keep you all posted. |

| Did you go? I would say maybe she hurt her tail or has dead tail. Sounds just like how my Lilly was wen she had dead tail. It's quite painful. They hate sitting and they can't lift up their tail or wag it. I hope she's feeling better!

| Back from the vet. No news..I was afraid of that. They checked her out really well and she checked out just fine. Legs, knees, spine looked good so no need for xray. Fecal sample normal. Excessive vulva staining indicating licking so a UTI is suspect although no other symptoms. Couldn't do a urine test cause her bladder wasn't full. I have a collection kit and will try to do that after work tomorrow. The gave me a antiflamintory/pain med to see if they will make her more comfortable if is is a UTI. No antibiotics until a sample is done. Her fear response could be a reaction to a possible infection. Eye sight checked also. She has never seemed like she is in pain but wasn't sure what else to think. She is definitely spooked not sure why. Dr. said it could be a phase. She had seen it before. So there you have it. In a nutshell Portia is a NUT. which will be confirmed if the urine sample comes back negative. ugh. At least I am not as nearly as worried. She was checked out from stem to stern. She is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing normally. |
