| Proud moment So tonight in class my eyes were opened to how far my little guy has come after all the training we've been doing. I was seriously amazed at how well Ben was doing with his heeling, constant focus on me and completely ignoring other dogs(even when they came right up to him and tried to play)! I guess I was so incredibly focused on our end goal that I hadn't noticed(until now) his HUGE accomplishments! This is a puppy who from day one has acted like everything, I mean everything, is a game and thinks its always play time. He would jump on everyone, lick them to death, pull on the leash, purposely disobey me, etc, etc. He was/is such a crazy hyper puppy who has not been able to control himself until now. Tonight in class, the instructor used him as the demonstration for new things that he had never even learned yet; he was so focused that he was able to catch on so quickly. I think watching him being handled by someone else gave me the opportunity to look at him in a different light. LOTS of hugs, kisses and special treats tonight!!! I think sometimes we get so focused on our end goal that we forget to enjoy the journey. Our puppy's are working so hard and learning so fast we can't forget to acknowledge all their achievements big and small!!! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| It is truly amazing how much they really do take in and how proud we are of them when we get the moments to watch them complete tasks we thought were beyond their training. I had my big WoW moment when waiting for a class we walked around others at more beginning levels. My girl was so calm, stayed focused and acted like she was an old hand at this. Her manners were complimented over and over. This from the class clown for so many classes. I was so proud of her and honestly hadn't realized how far she has come in only a year. Congratulations to you and your babe. You make a terrific team and it only gets better.
