As many of you know, I lost my heart girl Yaichi on July 18 after a sudden collapse, inability to use her rear legs and then a few days later, hemorrhage of what likely was misdiagnosed as a large lipoma on her left hip, after a week of nursing her and praying for a miracle.
The house is empty without her beautiful golden spirit and my heart feels empty as well.
Because she taught me so much, and because we shared such love, I know she would want another little golden girl to join our family.
No-one will ever replace her in my heart, however we are very excited to introduce little Brisby.
This is Brisby in my son's hand when we went to visit her when she was just 5 weeks old.
She is still with her mom and litter mates and will be 8 weeks old this weekend.
We hope to pick her up sometime next week.
There were 11 puppies to choose from and they were all precious. After holding them all, watching them etc., this little girl just crawled up my chest and started licking my face and I was a gonner...she actually chose me.
It's been over 12 years since I have had a little pup, so no doubt you all will be seeing a bunch of posts from me as we go through all the wonderful stages together.
Please wish us luck!!
p.s. if this is in the wrong place on the forum, please move this thread. I wasn't sure whether to put it her on in the Introductions thread...tx.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is amazing how much you miss them when they are gone isn't it? You will always have a place in your heart for your baby girl, but I'm sure you will be busy with your new puppy. Your pictures didn't work

Re the pics....I can see them in the post so I don't know why you are not able to.
You are not too far away from me MC. Do you have any good vet recommendations in Durham Region? I won't be going back to my vet of almost 25 years after how they failed to support me and Yaichi during her last week of life.
Congratulations on your new girl. I can't see pictures.

I couldn't see the pictures either. But congrats on the new one. She sounds like a real little love!
