So glad I found this thread , my cute little girl Carly let a few silent ones out today but the last one was so bad I thought I was going to be sick. We have had tummy issues and finally have her eating kibble and I hope we picked the right one and really hope the farts are not going to be the norm as they are beyond smelly :p

Such a funny thread! Has made me laugh, especially as my darling Loki, who is snoozing a few feet away, has just done one of his SBDs. We have had our papillon for six years & I have never heard or smelt anything from him, but young Loki is certainly making up for him!

I'm definitely very amused by Ada's. It's mainly funny to me because dogs are so oblivious to them. She'll just be sitting there looking at me and all of a sudden she lets one loose and I can't help but laugh.

None of my dogs make sounds--they have SBDs, and watch in amusement as my daughter and I blame each other for it!

Very funny though, as I sat down to read this thread, one of them let one loose. I think it was Tucker--he's closest.

when we're in the airplane (can't open windows!) or car & "someone farted" we turn around to see who's smiling...the dog with the big grin is for sure the guilty one.

actually, I'm taking our old lab to vet today because of sudden excess gasiness.

back to OPs question....will a loud fart'n puppy always be a loud farter?

I'm the OP, and I'm happy to report that Aspen's farts have gone from clearly audible to *mostly* SBD's...although I kind of miss the warning, lol.

As I was just typing this, Aspen let out a very loud burp. My little girl is not much of a lady!

Isla is also no lady What.so.ever. she has both kinds of farts going on and I've got to admit, the loud ones never stop being funny. Particularly when she goes and sits at the door and farts, I know she needs out!
When she was little in the summer I gave her water out a sportscap bottle in front of a shop. She drank so much so fast and let out this huuuge burp. A woman gave me a filthy look, obviously thought it was me
