:smile2:
My baby sister and family are visiting us for a couple weeks... this includes my newest baby niece.
Both goldens love the munchkin and are infinitely gentle and sweet about her, but Jacks especially just worships the sweet thing.
If I'm babysitting the kiddo, usually rock her to sleep and then put her in her car seat in front of the TV where the constant sound from the TV keeps her from waking up over every other little sound.
Jacks has gotten into the habit of walking a little circuit every once in a while, walking in and reaching his head over the top of the carrier to check on my niece, sometimes gives the top of her head a little kiss, and then walks back to his hangout in the bathtub. <= And he will repeat this every half hour or so.
If the kiddo is awake and in her wheelie, Jacks will gently "attend" her. Just walking up and standing so she can grab his fur and touch his muzzle. He just loves her.
I do think that people who don't have too much help around the house and have a baby and other little kids that they are chasing around after... they're not going to enjoy having a puppy too. Because it's just like another baby - just super mobile, doesn't wear diapers, and will take off running on you...
But older dogs, especially the seniors... they are so perfect. Or some of them are.
