I came home to find this mess, she has only been alone for 3 hours and she made one heck of a mess. I have a devil puppy! I love her but Im a bit pissed at her right now.

Looking at those pictures, I can't help but wonder why you don't crate her when you're gone. I'd be concerned about her swallowing something and getting an obstruction. Once they realize that destruction helps to cure boredom, it's difficult to stop the behavior.

I'd be a little mad too. But not for long. Could you try blocking off part of the house with baby gates? That's what we did, until they learned they could jump over. Hehe...
My friend's boxer broke into a bottle of medicine and almost died from it. Can't remember what it was. As long as you puppy proof the house I wouldn't be too worried though.

I have to vote with the crate suggestion... I lost my first dog to an obstruction, he died before they could get him into surgery....

Ellie and Mack

She hasn't been crated for over two months, she has been very well behaved. Wife was home until 1:00 then I got home from work and found this mess. She has played today, went for a walk before the wife went to work. She really has been a very well behaved puppy until the last two weeks or so. Have been taking her to puppy day care 2-3 times a week but she didn't go today.

Got it. I wasn't trying to be judgmental. I've noticed a resurgence in Bella's urge to chew over the past month or so. We crate her when we're gone, but she's often in the room by herself while we're home. It generally hasn't been an issue, but a few weeks ago, she destroyed a library book. The crate of books has been sitting there since we brought her home, and had never been touched. Lately, sticks are her obsession. She's always chewed them occasionally, but now it's an obsession every time she's in the back yard. To make matters worse, she has recently swallowed a few, and has even had two sticks suck in the roof of her mouth. These issues are foremost in my mind, to say the least.
