Pictures from today's hike

Went down to the river today for a hike, it was beautiful, the tree tips were frozen with ice and as we walked through the trails ice chips were falling all around. I've got the album posted on FB, I hope you can view it.

At one point I fell flat on my face, Brew was running at me from about 30 feet away and when he got about 5 ft in front on me he leaped, I think he wanted a hug? Either way he sent me flying flat on my face in the sand Today his enthusiasm for life got the best of me.

Great shots...looks like a beautiful area. Sorry to hear about the face plant on your walk...at least he chose sand for a softer landing.

Thank you, it is a great spot. And yes, the face plant sucked! He totally knocked the wind out of me. After the walk I took him in to get weighed and he's at 61lbs. So today I've learned that 124lb me vs 61lb retriever head on means I'll be the one flattened. I'm not going to lie, I kinda hurt, I swear I felt my rib move, and I think I've got sand in my ear... LOL

61 pounds doing maybe 25 miles per hour doesn't give 124 pounds much of a chance...watch out...although it's pure love and excitement they can do some real damage.

I'm sure I'll feel it more tomorrow!! At least no one seen because that would have been embarrassing LOL, It seemed like it all happened so fast, but I'm sure it was probably a slow motion bail!

Oh my, I was right I do feel it really bad today. It feels like I've been hit by a bus not a golden. Shoulders, neck and hips are aching pretty bad.
