Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

This summer ill try to head back up to Tennessee or NC will try to hike Graveyard Fields, Devil's Courthouse & Richland Balsam trail, all along Blue Ridge in NC.

Want to wait until he's a tad bit older before we go on any long advance hikes.
