Wonderful pictures, but please be very careful about exposing your dog to raw salmon or trout, as salmon poisoning is common in the Pacific NW and Western Canada.

What a great time he had, love that last shot hiding behind the grassy mound. He's a very lucky boy!

Thank you!!
I have never heard of Salmon poisoning before? We had been giving him little snippets of fresh salmon when we get the fish home and fillet it, I won't be doing that anymore, thank you for the heads up. I'll also mention it to my vet and see is there has been any cases in this area.
Brew is such a loyal little guy, he stays right with us, with the occasional 15ft wander to visit another fisherman. He's made many many MANY friends this past month.

You should be fine giving him the cooked salmon...it's getting onto the raw salmon and trout that can lead to serious problems.

Salmon poisoning is one of my huge fears as we'll get a spawning run on our river. My old man, Obi (RIP) used to catch huge salmon (saving 'em from drowning) and didn't put a mark on them

Well, that's scary. Never heard of this before. So many restaurants serve semi-rare salmon... I don't think I'll be eating that anymore!
