Registered name "rules"? I have a question about registered names. Do they normally have to incorporate part of the parents or mom's name? I know normally it starts with the breeder's name (in my case Tomiskaway). I'm looking for a name for my puppy that I'm picking up in 3 weeks. I want her "common" name to be Mia Her parents names are: Tomiskaway's Golden Teddy and Tomiskaway's Jenny Daisey Mae The dad's "common" name is Teddy and the mom's is Jenny Any ideas????

I love it too!!! And I love ABBA! At first I was thinking of something like "Tomiskaway's Mamma Mia" but then I didn't know if I had to incorporate the parents names? But I love your idea!! Hehehe

Any other suggestions?

There are no "rules" per se, other than number of letters allowable by the AKC, and certain words (obviously anything obscene) not being allowed. If the breeder requires their kennel name be used, or, has a theme, then you'd want to comply with that.
