Which do you use white fish or duck. Lucy has been on the white fish first bag, she seems very thin, I am thinking of changing over to the duck, it has more calories, she is a year.

I feed the duck, pork, and salmon. Enzo gets a mix of the 3 while Hunter just gets duck because it has the least amount of calories out of the flavors that I have on hand. Once I'm almost out of duck, I'll be picking up the whitefish for Hunter. We didn't realize we'd be getting his food, too, when I picked up the flavors, otherwise I would've already had it on hand. Your Lucy might just be like my Enzo - he needs a lot of food to keep him from looking too thin. I asked my vet if I should cut him back because 4 cups a day sounds like a lot to me, but she said his weight is perfect and to just stick with it unless we notices that he's starting to gain too much weight.

Wow, you give Enzo 4 cups a day, I definitely need to up it, she might just be like Enzo and need more then previous goldens needed. Although all my dogs have been on the thin side. I'm going out and buying some duck today.

Riley gets a mix (1/2 and 1/2) of the whitefish and duck formulas.
He, too, gets 4 cups per day. The only exception is during the summer, if it's really, super hot and he's a little less active. Then, I'll usually cut back to 3 1/2 cups and keep an eye on his weight.

Hudsen gets duck and sweet potato.. I have samples of the whitefish and he seems to prefer that over the duck. I feed about 3 1/2 cups of the duck and he seems really thin to me too! When I give him the fish, I give him a little more (about 4 cups) because he seems like he is starving on just 3 1/2 cups of whitefish. I think the whitefish is about 100 calories/cup less than the duck. Lucy may just need a more of the whitefish to maintain a higher weight since it is lower in calories.

Hudsen really likes the salmon too.. the kibble seems sooo small compared to the others. Does this matter?

We are back on the duck and sweet potatoe, which is what we have always used since changing to Fromm. However, in August my son thought he liked the looks of the chicken because of the orange bag. This was a mistake, as during this bag of chicken, Maggie increased in her scratching and was chewing the long hair off of her left rear thigh to the point that it looks like a three year old got a hold of a pair of scissors to give herself a haircut and chopped it all up. It looks awful. She went after her beautiful tail hairs as well. So, now that we are back to the duck and sweet potatoe, I've been thinking grain free or raw or something. I've even been spraying bitter apple on her. I don't know how long it will take for her to get back into the rhythm of duck and sweet potato without all of that scratching and hair biting. I hope not too much longer. She never chewed herself down to her skin or anything to cause any irritations or abrasions or sores. It just looks like a bad haircut. I'm hoping I can keep her on Fromm Duck and Sweet Potatoe for the time being.

We have been using the duck & sweet potato and Chase loves it. We are thinking about trying the pork & applesauce. How has everyone's experience with it been? Chase has had some stomach issues in the past, so we are worried if that could become an issue.
