I'm trying a home cooked diet and wanted to add bone meal calcium to the food. Read somewhere that NOW bone meal may be bleached...contacted the company to confirm.

Noticed the product also contains phosphorus...which I don't think she needs since she gets lots of meat. Anyone know if this is safe to feed? Or any other bone meal/calcium supplement you recommend we feed? Thanks!

Provides approximately 900 mg of Calcium per serving.

When I want to add calcium to my dogs diet, I mix bonemeal into their meatballs. I make my own bonemeal. I just save all of my egg shells and then I dry them in the oven and put them through the grinder.

Update: after reading Dr. Becker's Real Food book - they still suggest bonemeal for supplementing calcium. They say phosphorous is still needed... I haven't bought any yet..so far using dried ground eggshells but I think they're missing some minerals/phosphorus.

Egg shells don't contain the calcium/phosphorus ratio that bone does. If you are not feeding bones then you may need the supplement. I don't cook my dogs food. They are getting a raw food diet which includes bones. If I remember correctly, the bones have the correct calcium/phosphorus ratio needed.
