| Feeding Hey...I'm feeding our 10 week old puppy as indicated on the kibble bag thing which is about 290gr for his age and weight...if I'm not wrong...and I feed him twice a day (at 13:00 and 19:00). Am I doing it wrong? The reason why I'm asking is because I saw a lot of you mentioning feeding your babies breakfast. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| I have always fed 3 times a day until they are 5-6 months old then we switched to 2 times a day (3 times a day feedings were at 8am, 12pm, and 5pm....currently our 2 times a day feeding schedule is 9am and 5pm...my dogs r currently 1 and 2 years old but this is the schedule I have followed for both of them so far) I also never feed what the bag says as most of the time it ends up with the pup over eating. has your vet or breeder given you feeding advice at all? | I feed Sawyer 3 times a day still at 8 months. My vet said it was better for dogs if it was convenient for me to do so. He has a ravenous appetite. I give him about 1 cup per meal with added pumpkin or canned food (only a tablespoon.) 2 times. Again the vet said if he was very active that day to feed him more. Right now at 69 pds he is trim and looks good. I also give him a kong (puppy size) filled with pumpkin and mashed potatoes with treats once a day. Its a balancing game. Good luck |

| He said for his weight, age and blah blah blah 2 cups a day or so, if he's still hungry then feed him a bit more (per cup). The first few days I tried feeding him 3x a day but he wouldn't finish his lunch or dinner so I started feeding him twice and he always leaves a couple of pieces in his bowl. He poops 4x a day (8:00, 13:30, 19:30 and 23:30). I think so far so good...thanks for all the answers though Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |
