UPDATE: Site is now up and running
COMING SOON -- The only national database dedicated to reuniting lost Golden Retrievers, Golden Doodles and other Golden mixes with their owners.
Our Web site is under development and will launch soon. Once operational, you will be able to list your missing dog in our database or search for the owner's listing if you have found a dog.
Why are we building this database? Because while social media like Facebook excels at spreading awareness of lost dogs, it lacks the ability to broadly list or search for a specific dog.
If you have found a dog, our database will enable you to enter criteria such as gender, coat color, location and your choice of keywords to search our listings for the owner. If you have lost a dog, you'll be able to list your missing dog and upload up to three photos. A text window will give you the opportunity to include specifics about your missing dog that can function as keywords.
For example, if your missing Golden is blind in one eye, including this information in your listing will ensure that your dog's record will be displayed when a finder enters "blind" in a keyword search.
Searches can be limited to a single state, or conducted nationwide.
Please Like this page if you would like our updates -- including an announcement of when the database has gone live -- to appear in your news feed.
If you are interested in volunteering to help us enter information on stray dogs held in shelters, please leave a comment here.
