Cold and snowy December goose hunt

Took my guy goose hunting today despite of the winter storm that is upon us. Cold with gusty winds, snow accumulation to 10" today made the birds want to feed early. We added a few bonus pigeons to top the day off.

So did you have a Christmas goose? How does your boy do with the heavy geese?

If it is full I've got some extra room in mine..

Nice work...looks like your boy is doing a fantastic job.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

He does good with them, he has learned where to pick them up for an easy retrieve. Most of the geese we shoot range from 9 1/2 to 11 lbs

From early season

Riley thanks you!
