Hi everyone,

As some of you may know we added a new puppy to the family last week. My mother plans to train her to be a squirell retriever like she did with our older golden ginnie. My mom has never bird hunted before but gracie has shown interest in birds already, goes crazy over a neighbors bird feeder that attracts doves. Keeping in mind that her primary role will be on squirells can a golden be trained to retrieve both birds and squirrels, or are we simply crazy thinking of trying to train her on both?

I believe in England retievers must retrieve both fur and feathers.

A couple of mine will put up rabbits as well as game birds, so I do not see why not!
