Weird sort of wheezing noise?

A few hours ago Vito started doing this weird wheezing noise. Well, I can't tell if it's a wheeze or how it would sound to breathe with your nose when it is stuffy or congested.

It's only happening every 5 min. or so and I think when he is breathing out versus in. Eating, drinking, activity are all normal. He is not in any distress over it and doesn't seem to have any trouble breathing.

We did go on a 3 mile walk/jog last night and it was about 35 degrees out. Doubt that has anything to do with it, but thought I would bring it up.

Any ideas??

EDIT: I feel completely dumb for this, but, I don't think the noise is actually coming from Vito. I figured it was because it sounds so life-like..but, I'm not sure where it's coming from. LOL.

Try looking up reverse sneezing. Maybe it's that? Good luck.

well I was going to say that maybe he got kennel cough from the dog he viciously attacked at the dog park the other day (just kidding, LOLOL) but I read your edit and I had to laugh.
I've done that so many times! I hear a weird noise and assume it's one of the dogs, and then it turns out it's my husband doing something or it's the TV or whatever!

My son was visiting yesterday and while we were talking I kept hearing what I thought was a passing gas sound coming from my son. I tried not to look like I heard anything and he sure didn't look like he was trying to hide anything. Well, this goes on for a minute or two and then I realize it's coming from the floor vent behind the chair he's sitting in. It was the workmen in the basement using electric tools to tighten a door into place.

I never did tell my son what I thought I had heard.
