Hi Friends. I have a query

our Golden Retriever ANnie goes to a daycare facility 1-2 times a week usually (its about a 30 min drive from my work but I know shes safe and she loves playing with other dogs)

hubby and I were off a fortnight ago and we went away over night and boarded Annie at the kennels (shes stayed before) just for one night. we picked her up on the Tuesday and she'd had a blast.. playing with another Golden in particular. She has quite a sensitve tummy and we normally always send her own food when she boards but as it was one night i figured shed be fine with the kennels food.

on the weds after we had collected her she was still eating but not wanting her own food and we figured it was because they'd given her ham etc (we normally give her her breeders kibble )

On thursday I was adding a ittle chicken to her kibble to get her to eat but she had diarrhoea during the day, then into the early hours of friday morning she was pacing needing out with diarrhoea and repeated vomitting until it was just bile coming up. she didnt want to eat so we ran the vet and got an appointment. her temp was infection high and as she wasnt eating they wanted to admit her for a drip to make sure she didnt dehydrate. she ended up being kept in from Friday morning until Monday. she was xrayed etc and over the 3 nights she was listless, off her food and also had bloody diarrhoea. 3 other dogs were admitted with the same thing... they felt it was a severe stomach bug. the vets took great care of her and we were able to see her on sunday and she was off the drip drinking plenty, and even ate a little for us. the diarrhoea stopped on sunday evening and they felt she'd recouperate better at home so we collected her on monday evening and gave her the rest of that week to restg, we didnt walk her we let her sleep and start to regain strength. she is back to wanting to eat the hosue down and from Friday onwards we started walking her again. shorter walks and today we were up to 1.5miles

the only things we'd done differently aside from boarding her was on the tuesday we'd come home we let her have a rawhide bone (never have before) which she ate over tues/weds.

Because other dogs were admitted with same symptoms and the vets had heard this was an illness that seemed to be regionally across the province we're unsure the exact cause.

we feel she wants to go back to daycare as she loves it, and of course im worried but i know its just one of those things. i'm going to get her on a probiotic to build her tummy up but id love some advice on how long we should wait to send her back. tomorrow will be a week since she got home frmo the vets.... woudl it be best to wait a few more weeks or is this week to soon to get back to daycare?
