Mollie (15 months old) started being very lethargic yesterday afternoon and is the same today. She isn't displaying any other symptoms but is just lying and sleeping. This is so unlike her. When I do encourage her to walk to get a drink or go outside, she is walking very slowly, like an old man.
I have had her outside and she has passes solids so I don't think it is something she has eaten?
What else should I be looking for and at what point is it appropriate to get an emergency vet appointment?
Sorry to hear Mollie is not feeling well. Yes, a vet check should be your first step, as a rule of thumb, if you find yourself asking the question 'Does she need to see a vet?' it is never a bad idea to get her checked over. It may be, hopefully is, nothing serious, peace of mind is worth a visit, but if the condition needs treatment - sooner, is better.
Yes, we took her to see the Vet. She had a high temperature so they have given her an anti inflamatory injection and an anti-biotic injection. She has picked up a bit since then but we have to keep an eye on her and contact them again if she is no better tomorrow.
Hope you will stay around and share your adventures with Mollie with us.
