I had my 34 month old girl's hip xrays done last week and would appreciate any comments on the clarity of the films and the possible outcome as far as OFA grading goes .. hate the wait

Looks okay to me, the positioning in the right picture seems a little off to me though it may effect how the hips are graded if the OFA even accepts them (I know they are picky about the positioning). Based on the first pic, hips look good

Left socket better than right, but I would say good

My vet said that she had a slight concern about the right hip .. sounds like she had reason to say that. Thanks for the input

I would have liked to see a broader view as the positioning is a little funky.

I agree with your vet. The right hip looks a little loose, but is could be the positioning.

Positioning isn't horrible, I have seen some REALLY bad ones. I would give it a good or a fair.

Just a follow up .. I wish the people that took the time to respond to my original post were the same ones who evaluated them for OFA . Unfortunately, she received a grading of mild unilateral hip dysplasia (due to subluxation) in the right hip. Was a major shock as there were no signs to indicate that there was any problem. Thanks to all of you for your input though.

Thanks for the follow up post! I had viewed the x-rays and thought the right hip looked off but thought it might be the positioning. I am sorry the results weren't better but appreciate that you reposted for the rest of us to be able to learn.
