Yes the test was sent to Dodds @ hemolife. The comments on the test are: "The Thyroid levels are normal here. Recommend annual retesting. Gary Richter, DMV."

Numbers are:

T3: 54.2
Free T3: 2.60

Would you all recommend that i do BOTH food panels, of just give one a shot? I'm beginning to believe it may be something with the salmon oil... I'm going to discontinue that with the food transition.

Some folks think the food sensitivity test is a waste of money, but I was suspect of chicken & corn, and yes both bother Tailer...I think it was money well spent. Try to switch one thing at a tie, or you'll never really know! Good Luck! Have you started using Organic Apple Cider Vinegar on his food?

Thanks for the help, No i have not been putting the ACV in his food, but using it to treat the itchy areas. Should i also be putting some in his food? Maybe once he's switched over we give that a shot in a few weeks?

Yes, add the ACV to his food, each and every time you feed him. As mentioned above, please search this site for "ACV" and you'll find tons of info on how much to use, etc.

Well it seems that we're back to square one again.

As usual he was good for a few weeks after his antibiotic dose was completed, but slowly getting back into problems again. He is still on the same food and I've been giving him acv in his water since the last issue.

More recently we started to develop hives that seem to come and go. His skin becomes bumpy, raised, and red. Sometimes even swelling in his armpits and face happen. He's been on a pretty steady dose of Benadryl (4-6 a day) for quite some time now and it does not seem to be helping much.

He stopped following me around wondering what's going on, and has been sitting in our back room alone. He doesn't seem to sleep much, but sits with his head up and Knods off constantly. Almost like he is trying to sleep with his head up. I can tell he's not happy or anywhere near his normal self.

I'm going to try and take him back to the vet again this week and I'm sure he will go back on something. I also think its time to get the dodds saliva alergy test done to try and rule out some more things. It could also be environmental, is that testable?

I just don't know what to do now, I just want to get him happy and healthy without funding my vets new building project.

Any thoughts?

Lexi

I am so very sorry for all he and you are going through.
As far as the Apple Cider Vinegar, I know nothing about it, but are you supposed to use it on the dog?

I would recommend the NutriScan food sensitivity test by Dr. Dodds. I did it for Finn due to chronic digestive issues and did both panels. He had a reaction to White Fish. I was happy to know about it because the majority of the different dog foods I had given him contained White Fish.

It's so difficult when they have physical issues. You just feel bad for them and it gets so frustrating when you can't figure out a solution.

Please keep us posted on Ferguson.

So Ferg Went to the vet yesterday (Tuesday) We've submitted a Saliva test through Dodds, as well as an inhalant allergy test. We just did both panels, so we'll see what the results are. He's on steroids now and has already improved in 24 hours.

We'll see what comes back...and then adjust form there.
