I decided to take her to the Emergy clinic because she was squinting and rubbing her right eye a lot. Looked closer and saw two pretty big ulcers. $385 later shes had a pressure test (her right eye is the high end of normal), Shirmer test (normal) and Fluorecein Stain (ulcers in right eye) and meds/exam. In the last 4 days she has cost $615. My little Ruby is aging

I'm so sorry Ruby isn't feeling well. I'm hoping she will get better soon.

I hope she feels better soon to. Normally, I would not of gone to the ER for something like this if the clinics were open tomorrow but the clinics here are closed until Thursday now. Given its size and speaking to a couple people I decided it was best to not wait. Poor Ruby, the vet said she was perfect when they were doing the tests

Poor little Ruby. You made the right call IMO. An ulcer can penetrate deeper and deeper layers of the eye pretty quickly making treatment more difficult and sometimes permanent vision loss.

We consider eyes an emergency at our clinic since they can go very badly very quickly. Sorry you had to spend even more money, esp at this time of year, but Ruby will thank ou for it many times over!
