She's had the Bordetella shot, but I'm pretty sure we have Kennel cough and the vet said a healthy adult should not need any medication? Does anyone know any home remedies? She is already on a great diet and I have been giving her honey to help with her throat.

I'm not a vet, but the only way to get rid of Kennel Cough is to get to the vet.
Get to vet right away!

I also learned the kennel cough vaccine only protects against 3 viruses that cause kennel cough. There are dozens more viruses that cause this and cannot be vaccinated against!

That's true. Ky had the vax but she got kennel cough this summer. It was terrible and in the end we spent around $500. in meds to finally get rid of it. I've never in my life heard such a terrible noise come out of a dog.

Cooper had kennel cough last year and had to be put on meds. He also had a nice round of ER bills because it happened on the weekend and my parents took him to Penn immediately. Doh.

All my vet recommended when my then 4 year old and her 5 month old puppy got kennel cough was children's cough syrup. She also said I could try them in a steamy bathroom, like you do for kids with croup.
