Found some swelling on Gunner's right hip...

I had a scare the other night when I was playing with Gunner. I felt a bump/lump on his right hip. It was just before bed so of course I had a hard time sleeping. The good thing was I laid in bed thinking about what it could be and I figured out what it was.... (we saw the vet this morning). Gunner got some shots a couple weeks ago tomorrow. I remember watching my vet give him the rabies shot in that hip. I saw him kind of flinch too. Today she drew some fluid from the area and looked at it under the microscope. The cells looked normal other than the fact that there is some inflamation. She said it may take another week for the swelling to go down.

Side note: Honey barked and cried the whole time Gunner was out of the room. I think she likes her brother....

Awe, poor Gunner. By the way, I LOVE your signature picture, those two goldens are just beautiful. IMO that picture belongs in a calendar, and also blown up huge and framed on a wall!

I'm glad it wasn't something more ominous Cathy! I hope the swelling goes down sooner than another week.

That's very cute about Honey loving her brother!!
