I hope its something simple because if its serious I am not sure if I could afford to treat it. We have already ruled out hypothyroid. Im concerned its diabetes, cushings or possibly kidney/liver problems. Im hoping its a simple UTI. I notice her symptoms were gradual. First she started to pee a little in the house (we assumed it was because we werent letting her out enough). Then she started to bloat (her belly was soft still). I figured okay well we will watch her. Then this past week my grandmother mentioned to me she noticed her drinking more so im like okay lets monitor her water intake. She has already drank almost 2 cups and its like she cant get enough.
Then she mentioned she may of peed a bit by the back door which is very weird for her. So, I told her I will take her to the clinic before the holidays. I will have blood results friday morning and hopefully some meds by that time as well because the clinic is closed for 5 days figured I'd play it safe and go now rather then wait till next week.
So, maybe its nothing, maybe its something small....but nonetheless I need to know what it is or im not going to function. Shes my mothers dog, if anything happens to her it will be the last remaining possession of my mothers I have left
