Post surgery, Phoebe got a script for this NSAID cut up into 1/4 pieces daily and has run out now - and I'm just wondering if I should even bother asking for a refill or not? They gave her 0 refills.

It's 3 months now since she had ACL (knee crutiate) suture surgery and is doing great. She is also past the loading doses of Adequan. Other than that, all she is taking are fish oil and Cosequin DS.

Since she is showing no signs of soreness, stiffness etc. I'm thinking she can just forego the Meloxicam now. In my opinion for meds - LESS is MORE. If she can do without and feel good, no sense in loading her up on stuff.

The vet would refill if we ask - but do we really need to? Again she feels great - no signs at all of anything bothering her at all at this point!

If she is not in any pain, sure, you can do without.
You will know if she overdoes it at some point because of feeling better and getting back to her old routine. You can always ask the vet for some more at that point.
