Weighing your dog

How do you all weigh your dog without going to the vet to put them on those big scales?

I use our bathroom scale and I weigh myself first without Cookie, and then myself holding Cookie (it helps to have an assistant read the weight ), and then just subtract.

Can you convince him to stand on the scale by himself?

Both my vets have scales in the lobby, so I can go in to get a weight any time I want. Even the third vet who has the scale back in the internal area still is happy to welcome us in to get that weight.
