Charlie food update - still transitioning but it's going well!

We slowed down Charlie's food transition as he was having a little bit softer stools again - still formed, just softer. Even with slowing the transition there was no change and he's have one soft serve poop a day. Not diarrhea, just soft. We called our new vet and they suggested changing his feeding from 3 times a day to 2 times a day (same amount just spread out mor time-wise) - their thinking being that his food needed more time to digest. We are now feeding him every 12 hours and his stools are perfect!!! We've been able to go a little further with his transition from Purina EN to California Naturals Lamb & Rice and hope to be fully on the California naturals in the next few weeks! Yay Charlie! He's up to 43lbs. now (at 5 1/2 months old)

Once Vinnie got fully transitioned to his good food from the crappy food he was on, his poops were perfect and less frequent. Now at 7 1/2 months he's consistent with 2 poops a day.

I know what you're saying, I think most of us have gone through this with our Goldens and are so Relieved when the tummy issues are resolved.

Been there done that myself.

Good boy regarding the tree too!

I'm glad Charlie is doing better. Digestive problems can be so frustrating and hard to figure out.

A little looser the last day or so, but we gave him his 2nd Drontal (vet said a month apart) & they loosened up a bit after that. Continuing with Fortaflora till they firm back up. I'm sure it's the Drontal as they were perfect till then!
