| I just remembered this link, which discusses pancreatitis: Pancreatitis Information - Texas A&M Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences It might be worth a read to see if it offers you any ideas on long term management of Chaya. |

| Chaya's wet burps have stopped happening (yay!) and she's transitioned to half rice& chicken and half kibble for her meals. Now my biggest worry is getting her to stop licking the foreleg that they shaved for her IV. No biggie, but she's pretty obsessed about it, and it's looking a little red. I' sure once the fur grows up a little more, it'll bother her less. Thanks to everyone for helping me get through this! This is truly such a wonderful community. |

| I'm so glad Chaya's is improving. Doesn't she burp all of the time? Both of our boys did!

| [QUOTE=fozziesmom;1839740 Doesn't she burp all of the time? Both of our boys did! [/QUOTE]Yes she usually lets out a big belch after she eats, but lately these burps were accompanied by a little liquid/solid. It wasn't a lot, but enough to leave a wet spot on the ground. I was surprised that she didn't just clean it up herself, since at that point it's not digested at all and probably still tasty. But no, she just walks away as if she hadn't done something gross |
