Hello, I'm new to the forum and puppy ownership and I need some advice.
I've had my golden girl Rosalie since she was 14 weeks old and she is now just over 6 months old. She is an absolute sweet heart the majority of the time and is a very laid back puppy. However lately she has been having some behavioral issues. She hasn't had the opportunity to meet many other dogs close up but is usually okay just watching them from a distance. We used to take her to soccer games in the fall so she had the chance to see many new people but now that it is nearly winter she hasn't had many more opportunities.
Just this past week I was walking her on the bike path when we came across a woman walking her 11 month old German Sheppard puppy, we tried to introduce them to each other but Rosalie began to growl and pull away and jump all over in the opposite direction. The German Sheppard was very well behaved and just stood their quietly next to her owner. Then today we had a guest come to the house and she responded aggressively as well growling and biting at his hands. I plan to enroll her in obedience classes as soon as the holidays pass or have a trainer come to the house to work with us.
Any ideas on how to handle this is greatly appreciated!

It sounds more like fear and not aggression. If it were true aggression, she would have been pulling in the direction of the GS puppy and trying to get at it.
I would work on more socializing. Take your pup to lots of new places and bring her favorite treats and toys. When you see another dog or person approaching, ignore the other them and start to work on training with your dog. Get your dog focused on you instead of the other dog or person using treats and toys.
Obedience classes will be great for you and your dog but try to socialize your dog in the meantime.

With the other dog I just knelt down and and tried to encourage her to meet her but that didn't seem to help, I did the same thing when a guest came over as well I knelt down encouraging her to smell him and say hi while holding on to her collar so she didn't jump all over him. Thank you for your advice I will certainly try to take her out to as many places as possible and see if that helps.

When you take her out to meet new people, don't try to encourage her if she is showing fear. Try to distract her and give her treats and then give some treats to anyone who wants to pet her so that she can go up to them on her terms.
I had a rescue that was very fearful and I used to sit at the park with her on the park bench and just let her watch people. I have 2 vests, one that says, "ask to pet me, I'm friendly" and the other says, "please don't pet me, In training". I used the don't pet me one for about a week so that she could just get used to people without them touching her and then I switched to the other vest so that when people asked to pet her, I could give them a treat to give her. Don't push her. Let her meet people on her terms. The only other thing that really helps is another really secure dog that she can watch to see how they interact with people.

Thank you, I will try to do that as much as possible. I would love to have another secure dog help to show how to interact with people but I live in a rural area and most of my friends live on a farm so their dogs aren't the best role models when it comes to socializing with others. But thank you very much for your advice I will make sure to take her to the park often so that she can watch others until she's more comfortable and I'll be sure to praise her and give her treats often.

It is hard when you live in the country I know I am 34miles from a big town. You have to work with what you have so take into a small town walk around the school if you can do it before school starts so she sees kids that is great if you work see what is going on in the evenings. When you go to a bigger town take her with walking around new places is great for the dog try to think of things she hasnt seen so you can expose her to them. Class will be great I think with time and socialization she will be just fine
