Beamer's First Agility Trial

What can I say other than being so proud of Beamer this weekend? We had our first agility trial after being in classes since March. I was only hoping for maybe one Q, but he blew me away!
He was measured right at 22" so we got to jump 16" (we entered preferred). Saturday, we had a tough Jumpers course but managed that one alright (though it wasn't the prettiest run). Our standard run was great! I just had to do a call off of the broad jump, and in the end we got a perfect score. Go Beamer!! We walked away with a QQ and two blue ribbons.
Today, we weren't quite on our game like yesterday. We struggled with the weaves today and ended up an NQ in jumpers (due to him backwards weaving- which I didn't even realize was an NQ... whoops). Otherwise, it was a great run! Standard was amazing again today with another 100 and a beautiful run. So, walked away today with just one Q and a third blue ribbon. I have my two runs from Saturday up on facebook for those who have seen. I need to get them up on Youtube for better quality and also get my runs from today up.
We can't wait for our next Agility trial- it won't be until April, but we will keep training until then. He is definitely enjoying it (and the Q cheeseburgers!)

Thanks all!! We had a great time and I'm a bit sad we won't be competing again until April, but we are just sticking to trials that are at the sports center we train due to my school schedule. I may be able to do another one this summer, too, it just depends. Beamer thoroughly enjoys it and I'm glad we've found something else to do since we are working on our RAE (3 legs down... so it will be a while still) and was getting towards the end of Rally.

I'm lucky to have such an amazing boy who works so so well for food! Though I wasn't sure when we started he would be cut out for it... turns out I was wrong!
No, I don't own a single piece of agility equipment (not even a jump) though I really wish I did. I just cannot afford anything right now, nor do I have any room at home to keep any of it if I did, anyway. Good luck with your pup! It's been a fun ride! I hope to do Agility with Fenway as long as his hips look alright (when he is older, of course).
