We had a bit of a break over the holidays, now we are back at it. Had our first correction clinic yesterday, in beginner novice and novice. He did pretty well. I was very proud of him. Stand was rock solid, stays were too. Heeling was a little sloppy, but not too bad. And we did the recall on a flexi, he's had issues of zoomies, but I think it would have been okay without the flexi. And tonight we had our first private lesson of the new year. Practiced recalls and dumbell retrieve, all on a long line. I definitely see improvement. He is starting to mature and grow up some. Good for him. Its a little uncertain however if I am going to need surgery on my neck. Pain is getting worse, some numbness and loss of strength. I started a short term of therapy today, my therapist doesn't seem very hopeful that I am going to be able to avoid more fusion. She said in her experience cervical spinal stenosis usually never gets better, you just try to stop the inflammation process, last thing she said was we will give it a go for a couple of weeks and then decide to do more. Kind of disheartening. If it ends up I need more surgery, it would mean a total of 5 fused discs, as I already have three fused in my neck. Wonder if I would even be able to turn my neck at all.
