Last week, the obedience trainer here invited Maddie and me to go with her to Ventura this month to try for the first level of obedience.

I am a big time neophyte and was thrilled BUT I can't go as I have committed that whole weekend months' ago. The next local event (in SB) is in August.

They invited me to the advanced obedience classes that happen here in SB, which I did go to and is cool.

I would love to go to have Maddie attempt an obedience certificate(?) in the next two or three months but am wary about going by myself. I truly know nothing. Maddie is now eight months old, she knows bunches.

Are any of you going to one of the Bay Area events and willing to hold my hand during the event (my daughter lives in Castro Valley)? Or it this too weird and unreasonable a request?
