I'm just a little new at all this but will tell you that when I was searching for a breeder I wanted to see registered names, registration numbers, OFA clearance information w/link to ofa.org and accomplishments ... what venue the breeder shows in.
Many seasoned breeders don't keep the web sites up to date, you have to contact them. Make you a list of questions... what is your current breeding program / schedule?
do you plan on keeping a puppy?
why did you choose this pair?
do you have current OFA certifications on your breeding dogs?
how do your raise your puppies, in a kennel or in your home?
You get the idea. Contact your local GR club, they should have some information on the breeders in their club. They may also know who has puppies coming up.
Good luck on your puppy hunt.
