Hi there, I came across this site after doing a search and it looks like a tremendous resource for everything Golden Retrievers. My wife and I are looking for a golden retriever puppy and I came here to research and find reputable breeders within a reasonable distance to us. We are looking for a great, healthy dog with a great temperment to be a companion and member of the family. I just dropped a line to these breeders and am hoping for the best.

I know that litters are sometimes few and far between depending on the breeder and that many reputable breeders may have a waiting list as well so we are trying to float a few lines out there.
Thanks to the info here, I'm aware of the clearances that I should be looking for in the parents of the pup.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we can find a great Golden to welcome to our home


PS- I have also searched and found a few Golden rescues as well, however the ones local to us will either outright not adopt to us because of no fenced in yard, or will only adopt an older adult which we didn't want to do at this time.

You have a good list! Harborview is in NE Pa and Brianne is in the Pittsburgh area and won't have a litter for about about 8 months (current litter is only 2!). You may also want to check out Edgecombe, Sandmann, and Stonecroft.
