I think I have found a terrific reputable breeder. I have talked to her through phone and had a wonderful conversation talking about her and her goldens. Now I just need to patiently wait until the puppies arrive, but since she has three litters coming, I was wondering which litter would you say is better if not all. Thank you very much!!
I love how this site makes it easy to click through the clearances. It does seem like everything is in order with clearances.
I am just going to give you my "imo" if I were picking between the litters, but I am no expert.
Junior's pedigree is familiar to me, I like it, and it has healthy, longlived dogs, but I do not know mom's side very well. If I were looking for a pet, this probably would be the one I chose bc I see familiar dogs I associate with good health and good temperament and breed type.
Wow, props to the breeder for having the pedigree right there. I have no info into the actual pedigrees as I am just starting out but after looking at a lot of web pages this one stands out!
I think there is more to the story and perhaps at least one set of puppies is a co-ownership situation and not necessarily being whelped on site. Since we're on a "give a breeder the benefit of the doubt bandwagon", I would recommend the OP discuss with the breeder on where the pups will be raised and by who to ascertain whether or not the pups will receive the required socialization and best start at life.
Susan does not have a large breeding program and these dogs don't all belong to her. She bred some of them and doesn't own them and she isn't the breeder on some and does own them. The information is all on K9data.
It has probably been close to a year since she had a litter. Her boy Junior is from Margie Sarkin of Goldruls Goldens and out of my boy Rocky-CH Harborview Just U Wait OS BISS BOSS
I also believe that one of these girls does not live at her house and is co-owned.
I have talked to her and all the dogs belong to her except one of one of the litter. She has 12 years of experience in breeding and participated in many competitions. She lives on the country side and owns a very large area where the puppies where grow up.
Pyometra is a uterine infection... it is very dangerous and a girl who is treated for a pyo needs to be bred on their next season .... that having been said I think its really strange for two girls to both get a pyo at the same time....and then why did she breed the third?
I like cuervo x shiner..they look like nice looking dogs. Im a little curious too on why she would do 3 and they seem awfully young to have pyos. Usually seen them over 5 years of age. But clearances are there. Maybe she has lots of help!
My preference, based upon appearance alone, is Cuervo x Shiner. Both the sire and the dam are appealing to the eye. I only glanced at the pedigree but I noted the dam has excellent and sire has good rated hips and the other clearances look good.
This would be my choice.
Let us know which breeding you like. It really is matter of personal preference, if everything else falls into place.
Good Luck!
I personally wouldn't look at Cuervo. He has a particular dog that I would avoid in his pedigree. Longevity would be my #1 concern.
